Workshops
"The science informs everything. The warmth is just who we are."
Bridge Performance
What are workshops?
Workshops are educational sessions that go deeper than what a regular class can cover. They're led by coaches and clinicians with specific expertise - not generalists - and they're designed to give you something you can actually use: a clearer understanding of your body, your training, and how to take care of yourself over the long term.
Some are skills workshops: Olympic lifting, powerlifting, kettlebells, mobility, gymnastics. You leave able to do something you couldn't do before. Others are education workshops on nutrition, perimenopause, bone density or training with pain. You leave understanding something you didn't. Every listing below says which it is.
Topics reflect what Bridge members actually ask about. Perimenopause and pelvic floor aren't niche. They're the conversations happening in every locker room that nobody's having on stage. We think that's worth fixing.
What we run
Skills
Learn to do something new, or do it better.
Olympic Weightlifting Technique
Skills · All levelsTechnical work on the snatch and clean & jerk, taught by USAW-certified coaches. Positions and timing first, load second.
Powerlifting
Skills · All levelsSquat, bench and deadlift technique, with the setup and bracing that make each lift safer and heavier.
Kettlebell Skills
Skills · All levelsSwings, cleans, presses and snatches, taught properly. Kettlebells reward technique more than most equipment, and punish guessing.
Advanced Mobility
Skills · All membersWorking on a specific restriction rather than stretching generally. Bring the position you cannot get into.
Gymnastics Fundamentals
Skills · All levelsBodyweight skills built from the ground up: hollow positions, pulling, pressing and the progressions between them.
Physical Therapy Application for Athletes
Skills · All membersHow clinical assessment applies to training: what a movement screen shows, and how to train around a limitation without stalling.
Education
Understand something that changes how you train.
Perimenopause & Strength Training
Education · Women 40+How hormonal shifts in perimenopause affect how you respond to training - and how to use strength work to your advantage during the transition. Covers body composition changes, recovery, sleep, and what the research actually says about lifting through midlife.
Pelvic Floor & Fitness
Education · All womenA PT-led workshop on pelvic floor function and how it intersects with strength training. Covers the basics of pelvic floor anatomy, common symptoms (leaking, pressure, pain), and how to train effectively with - not against - your pelvic floor.
Nutrition for Performance
Education · All membersFueling your training without the noise. Practical, evidence-based guidance for real people - not athletes tracking macros at competition weight. Covers protein, carbohydrates, meal timing, and what actually makes a difference in how you feel and perform.
Understanding Your Movement
Education · All membersWhy you move the way you do, what it means for your training, and how to train with less pain. Led by Amy Pike, MPT - this is the clinical side of Bridge Performance made accessible. Covers movement patterns, compensation, and how your history shows up in your body.
Bone Density & Strength After 60
Education · Adults 55+What bone density loss actually means, how resistance training addresses it, and what a real program looks like. Led by Jeannie, licensed PT and Bridge+ coach. This is the clinical case for why Bridge+ exists - and why what you do in the next few years matters.
Returning to Training After Surgery
Education · Post-surgical membersWhat the gap between PT discharge and gym-ready actually looks like - and how to navigate it. Led by Amy Pike, MPT, who spent 11 years in inpatient physical therapy watching people fall through this exact gap. Covers joint replacements, spine surgery, shoulder and knee reconstruction.
