What is Weightlifting?

Weightlifting is our competitive and recreational Olympic weightlifting program — led by USAW-certified coaches who have competed in the sport. Weightlifting is built around technical development in the snatch and clean & jerk, with smart progression and a clear pathway for athletes who want to compete.

Our coaches and the programming bring both competitive experience and deep technical knowledge to every session. The result is coaching that's precise, progression-driven, and designed to address individual weakness in addition to building strength.

Whether you're new to the lifts or have been training for years and want to train with like minded individuals, Weightlifting has a track for you. Contact us for schedule and rates.

Who it's for

  • →Athletes looking for weightlifting in Pasadena
  • →People new to Olympic lifting who want technical coaching from the start
  • →Athletes returning from injury who need a coach who understands both
  • →Anyone with competitive aspirations looking for a pathway

What makes it different

Coaches who compete

They're not teaching from a certification. They're teaching from experience on the platform.

Technical fundamentals first

Programming emphasizes movement quality and smart progression. No one adds load before the positions are right. That's why Weightlifting athletes stay healthy.

Competitive pathway

There's a clear path toward competition for both experienced athletes and people brand new to Weightlifting — and a team of people working toward the same goals.

Common questions

Do I need to be a competitive athlete?

No. Weightlifting has both recreational and competitive tracks. If you're new to the lifts and want serious technical coaching, there's a place for you. If you want to compete, there's a pathway for that too.

What if I've never done Olympic lifting?

You're welcome here. Technical development starts from scratch for beginners. We'd rather teach you the right positions from day one than fix ingrained bad habits later. Start with a Movement Assessment.

What does USAW registered club mean?

It means Weightlifting is officially registered with USA Weightlifting — the national governing body for the sport. Club registration means our athletes can compete in sanctioned USAW events and our coaching meets national standards.

Can I join if I'm coming back from an injury?

Yes, and our coaching staff makes our program uniquely well-equipped for this. Tell us your history in your Movement Assessment and we'll build a return-to-training plan that makes sense for where you actually are.
