Astrid Castaneda, CSCS, USAW-2
Astrid is a strength coach with 15 years of experience in private, high school, and collegiate settings. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science Education from The Ohio State University. She has trained and competed in Olympic weightlifting, and her competitive experience is the foundation of Weightlifting - Bridge Performance's USAW-certified weightlifting program.
Her coaching experience spans collegiate and high school athletes in the weight room, managing gym operations, and building specialized programming for strength and conditioning athletes.
As co-founder of Bridge Performance, Astrid brings the strength and conditioning half of the clinical + performance equation that defines Bridge. Her coaching is technically precise, progression-driven, and built around how athletes actually move - not how they're supposed to move on paper.
She leads Weightlifting and coaches Bridge Performance group classes and personal training. Whether you're new to the sport or returning from a setback, her background gives her a rare ability to meet athletes at every point in the spectrum.
